I am not a Bobber...

photo: courtesy of flickr
Some of you folks out there like bobbing for apples.
Some of you, like me, freak out and want to run away when you hear the words, "Bobbing for apples."
I feel like I am drowning when I have to stick my face in cold nasty water.
What if you aren't the first bobber?  Then, you are bobbing in other people's spit.  I know what you are thinking: you don't spit when you bob.  Oh yes you do; little streaks of saliva come out when you open your mouth so wide to get an apple.
Nasty.
For the love people, stay away from bobbing barrels.

I am not a bobber either! Yuk!

I haven't been by in awhile. Between our trips, my getting the flu and all my company for the breast cancer walk, my life has been c-r-a-z-y!!! Everyone has gone now though and my house is quiet (thank you Lord!). BUT...I'm desperatly trying to get caught up and it's been fun seeing what you've been doing.

Happy Halloween!

Hugs!

I don't ever remember bobbing for apples...maybe as a little kid. But definitely not now! Happy Halloween!

You are one crazy girl! I NEVER liked it either, and can not understand who ever thought it would be a good idea? What if you would get an apple that had teeth marks in it? OH YUCK! Hope you survive the evening!

I think it's gross too. But some of my students did at school yesterday. We had read a story several weeks ago and in the story they bobbed for apples. Well they had never heard of that so I explained it to them. One student got so excited and begged me everyday to please do it. So we did. Only 3 of my kids ending up doing it. And I only put an apple or two in there at a time so they wouldn't all put their mouths on the same apple. Maybe that helped some!

Agreed! All I can think of is the germs and who knows what else is in that water! The best idea is hanging the apples from a clothes line....kinda backwards bobbing.
Hope your Halloween was lots of fun.

It's a good thing Jeanie forgot about bobbing. She had it all set up and forgot about it until we were leaving!
Hope you had a good weekend with all the kids in your home. You are brave! love you!

Thanks Andi!! We think he's pretty cute ourselves. The party was so much fun and I bet your boys would really enjoy the train. The company is out of Enterprise and they were great with the kids. They took them around the neighborhood as many times as they wanted to ride. It was so much fun. Hope you are having a great school year. Things are about to get pretty busy with the holidays approaching!
